Disneyland 2009 Trip #1

We bought year passes to Disneyland this year. We're about 6-7 hours away so We're going to try several fun weekends at the Happiest Place on Earth(tm).

We went this weekend with Jill (yea!) and had a blast. Allie's work paid for us to stay at the Disneyland hotel and to have a couple of meals with Disney characters (they love her at her work). If you look closely, you will see that Mouth is giving the "hang-loose" sign, not something else!


We had to have a "snack-break" every few hours to save the boys from a cruel death from starvation.







It was really hard to get the "C" without a bunch of strangers with C-dog for this picture. People love to loiter around the "CALIFORNIA" letters.








Rides are fun!









Here we are waiting for Jill's fav ride Big Thunder Candy Mountain Railroad, or something like that. We rode it a bunch of times. I think we hit the biggies 2-3 times each. The boy's favorite was California Screamin'. It was too intense for Allie. She went on it once, but her knees were shaking at the end. She was a good sport.





We saw a lot of characters on this trip. It was fun to joke around with them.







Goofy was a fun character, but our favorite was Stitch. He was mischievous and tried to steal the boy's bacon. Hands off the bacon, man!













OK, seriously, who is the cutest? You know my vote!









One perk of staying in the DL hotel was "magic mornings". We got to go in the park an hour early on Sat and Sun. There were very short lines for all the good rides. We did the Matterhorn twice!






At the dinner buffet, we'd just sat down and ordered our drinks, when we noticed that Mouth was gone. We looked around and found him over loading up on the delicious buffet. Do you see him over there? He does love to eat, but only at the buffet! One bite of everything- a dream come true. Plus, all those desserts, yum.





Disneyland was super-duper. The best part of the trip? Having Jill along. She is wonderful! Thanks for coming, Jill!
