Two new additions

We've had a couple of additions to the family in the last few days. (Updated)

A few months back we had to get rid of a crazy dog who bit 6yo on the face twice. The boys have been sooooooo sad since. They've begged and begged for a new dog. We came across Max and we couldn't turn him down. He's 4-5 years old rescue Brittany Spaniel. He's very mellow and sweet. No barking, no licking. He even lets little kids harass him without a fuss. He's a sweet dog. His original name was Jack, but I thought it sounded too much like someone else in the family, so it became Max.

The other addition came upon us suddenly because my Passat started making a scary noise and stalling. I'm tired of paying good money to keep that old beast running so out it goes! I went today and purchased a great Arizona car- Wrangler Unlimited! I'm really excited to go explore the big desert all around here. Plus it has four doors so it's great for the fam. Also, the back is big enough for the new pooch, Max.

Here's our first trip out to the hills. This is just after we turned around from a really serious hill. I really should have taken a picture of it, but I was so emotionally conflicted about not going up the hill and having to back up, that I forgot. I know I could have made it in the sweet jeep!

Updated: After a few hours of processing time, I'm REALLY glad I didn't try to go up that hill. It was huge, steep, and no one knew where we were. I'm going to stick with beginner trails for a while.

I love the new car! It is so you J. I know you have always wanted a fun car. I am so glad you have one. Also the doggy looks so cute. I see that kind of dod all the time but did not know it was called a Brittany Spaniel.

I just made the picture of the jeep and the boys bigger to show Joey. I can see Allison in the jeep. I think she is contemplating that big hill too!

WOW! I am so excited for you. When you told me that you wanted to get that jeep I thought You were just dreaming out loud. Good for you, Living the dream! I'm so jealous. Max is a very cute dog. I can't wait to meet him. Maybe he can teach daisy not to lick. ;)

Dad says
I too am so glad you were able to replace the old fun car with the new fun car. It reminded me of the jeep wagon that I had just before getting married. That was a while ago and it was not new when I got it so think funny looking old style jeep. It had a straight 6 studebaker engine added and overdrive on the trans so it could go fast easier. It did however have a rusted out floorboard on the passenger side and no heater so mom and I got a bit cold going to the early morning classes together in the winter time. That is enough remembering old days and now to say that those boys of yours sure look handsome and a little bit proud in front of that new jeep. Congrats and have lots of fun but safely please.
